Michael has been President of Scion since January 2022. In his current role he is responsible for oversight of all aspects of Scion’s day to day operations, underwriting, distribution and new product development. He has unparalleled expertise in multi-line casualty underwriting, facultative reinsurance and marketing. Prior to joining Scion, he held roles of progressing responsibility at major insurance companies.
Wade is responsible for oversight of compliance, licensing and claims management for Scion. His underwriting responsibilities include focusing on the creation and expansion of the non-transportation excess segment and Co-Tenancy Risk Insurance. Wade has over 30 years of commercial insurance experience spanning claims, account management, underwriting and reinsurance brokerage.
Andrew is responsible for underwriting the Scion excess transportation product. In his near decade in the insurance industry, Andrew has worked with brokers across the country and is known for his strong underwriting talent and consistent production.
Kesa has nearly 20 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. She began her carrier at AIG and has worked with several other carriers, including Liberty Mutual, in the Excess Casualty field. Kesa has worked extensively with both the retail agents and wholesale markets.
Kesa is a graduate from Texas Women’s University with a degree in Business Administration.
Barbara is responsible for underwriting excess transportation insurance. She has an extensive casualty background of over 20 years with both standard and surplus lines and has spent the past 9 years exclusively underwriting transportation risks. She has familiarity with multiple markets and platforms and brings extensive experience to Scion.
Melanie is responsible for underwriting Scion primary and excess casualty products. Melanie has been in the E&S industry for over 14 years with over 10 years of property and casualty underwriting. She has worked with brokers across the country and enjoys developing strong broker relationships.
Joseph is a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi and has joined Scion as an Underwriting Trainee. He is excited to learn the ins and outs of insurance with an experienced team of professionals.
Daralyn is responsible for Scion’s Underwriting Assistants and ensuring all underwriting teams are fully supported in their business endeavours. Daralyn has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and brings a quick wit and excellent organization skills to the Scion team.
Jacob is an Underwriter on Scion’s excess transportation team, with experience working on both the wholesale brokerage and carrier side of the E&S industry over the past 7 years. Jacob is graduate of the University of Arizona and brings a wealth of commercial casualty knowledge and marketing expertise to the team.
Robert is the newest addition to the Scion team. He provides critical support to the underwriting team and acts as a liaison between the Scion underwriters and our partners on the brokerage side, ensuring that all policies are processed efficiently and promptly and that all documentation complies with company and state guidelines. Robert brings dynamic claims experience from major insurance carriers into the Scion Underwriting environment.
Robert (Tres) Wade is a recent graduate from the University of Mississippi where he earned his degree in Risk Management & Insurance. He has joined the underwriting team specializing in excess transportation insurance. Tres is responsible for multiple states throughout the U.S. where he maintains and creates strong relationships with brokers and ensures the best coverage for insureds.
After a long and successful career in hospitality management, Cullen has entered a new chapter by joining Scion working on the clearance team. She is eager to learn the business and progress her career.
Dana is our newest underwriting assistant. She provides critical support to the underwriting team and acts as a liaison between the Scion underwriters and our partners on the brokerage side, ensuring that all policies are processed efficiently and promptly and that all documentation complies with company and state guidelines. Dana has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Autumn Cameron is part of the Clearance team at Scion Underwriting. She brings a warm smile and cheerful attitude to the office. She has over 5 years’ experience in medical insurance and 10 + years in customer service. She is excited to be a part of an experienced team of professionals.
Geoff recently joined the Scion team after working for a major standard market brokerage firm. He is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Risk Management & Insurance. As part of the General Liability & Excess team, he is responsible for providing excellent service to his clients and delivering optimal results for our brokerage partners.
